Meet our Directors

Our directors ensure that Air Time CIC meets statutory obligations and works to achieve objectives

Jo Woodhams

Director

With a background in youth and community work and a strong track record in teaching and training, Jo is a dedicated nature-based wellbeing practitioner with 18 years’ experience in the mental health field.

Driven by a passion for inclusion, Jo advocates for equitable access to nature and creates opportunities that promote both individual wellbeing and environmental stewardship. Empathy, personal insight, and professional knowledge are at the core of Jo’s multi-disciplinary approach.

Drawing on evidence-based principles of Nature Connectedness, Forest Bathing, Ecotherapy, Six Ways to Wellbeing, Forest School, and Social & Therapeutic Horticulture, Jo equips adults and teenagers with effective tools to enhance and sustain their mental health.

Additionally, Jo integrates nature art into her practice and offers opportunities for environmental volunteering, enriching the therapeutic experience and fostering a deeper connection to the natural world.

As an accredited Mental Health First Aid trainer since 2019, Jo has delivered impactful training to hundreds of individuals, both face-to-face and online. Personal lived experience and real-life examples make the training both relevant and engaging.

Andrew Beales

Director

I am currently retraining as a psychotherapist, having spent the last 10 years working in occupational safety and health. I believe that everybody should have access to high-quality, open-ended and low-cost psychotherapy and counselling. I have also seen how facilitating nature and horticulture-based activities, which include learning new skills and forming new relationships, can improve mental health and wellbeing.

Air Time grew out of a shared passion, held by the founding Directors, that good mental health, wellbeing and meaningful and beneficial time spent in natural spaces should be accessible for everybody.

Being both a Director of, and working for, Air Time will give me the opportunity to provide psychotherapy and counselling services to more people than I could working independently in private practice.

I'm excited about the potential of Air Time to be part of a solution that tackles health inequalities at a community level.

Jason Savin

Director

I have been working with people for over 25 years I volunteered at the age of 16 for a local football team, I would train the under 12s team on a Saturday morning and I realise now that I really enjoyed being a positive male role model for both girls and boys that attended these sessions.

I believe that a varied life experience is important, and sometimes key, to building positive relationships. I was brought up as an only child in a single parent family on low benefits. To make things harder I was the only black male in my school and in my living community for some time. This has helped me to have a stronger understanding of isolation, deprivation and sometimes the inability to foresee a positive future.
